FALLS CREEK - VICTORIA - AUSTRALIA

Easiest option is to fly to Albury Wodonga and rent a car or get a bus from there. It takes less than an hour from Sydney to fly and an hour and a half from there by car.

By car:

690km from Sydney to Falls Creek

Drive for a stupid amount of time on the Hume Highway (Australia’s busiest freight route) towards Melbourne. Make sure you have a good stereo and are prepared to eat at petrol station McDonalds over and over and over. About 8 hours into the mission you hit Wodonga, which is on the state boarder dividing NSW and VIC. Don’t take this on in a shitty car – you will not make it.
See below on how to get from Wodonga to Falls Creek.

350km from Melbourne to Falls Creek

Get onto the Hume Highway towards Sydney. It only takes a few hours to get to Wodonga.
See below on how to get from Wodonga to Falls Creek.

From Wodonga
Once you hit Wodonga by car get into the middle of their main strip of shops. There is a roundabout there next to a big old smoke stack. Follow the sign that says ‘SNOWFIELDS’ which goes off towards Bright and Mt Beauty. Once you get to Mt Beauty follow the signs to Falls Creek. This takes about an hour and a bit from Wodonga. You have to pay park entrance fees to get into Falls Creek.

By Bus:

The bus service from Melbourne or Albury train terminal and airport is called Piles Coaches.
