JYE KEARNEY BECOMES FIRST AUSSIE TO WIN STYLEWARS STAIRMASTER TITLE AT 28 STAIRS EVENT

In a Stylewars first, Jye Kearney has become the first Australian rider to ever win the title of Stylewars Stairmaster.

Claiming the win at Stylewars’ notorious 28 Stairs event at Falls Creek’s Village Bowl, the only riders to ever be crowned have been Mark McMorris (Canada, 2010), Sebastien Toutant (Canada, 2009), Charles Reid (Canada, 2008), and Will Jackways (New Zealand, 2007).

The 28 Stairs event began with a 45-minute qualification round that whittled the rider list down to 11 finalists. Competition was hot with standout performances from many Aussies including Matt Sedunary, Jason Maxfield, Cameron Staveley and Tim Nelson.

TOR LUNDSTROM TAKES TITLE OF STYLEWARS GRANDMASTER 2011

In an exciting turn of events, 19-year-old Tor Lundstrom from Sweden has just been announced Stylewars Grandmaster 2011.

Successfully climbing his way to the top from fourth place, Lundstrom stole first place from young Aussie Scotty James during the two-hour competition window today. He wasted no time throwing down as many tricks as he could, including a front 10 and a back 10.
